Please Review Pgs. 88-103

Land and Water

·        Hill- is land that rises up high but not as high as a mountain

·        Lake- is a body of water that has land around it

·        Mountain- is the highest kind of land

·        Ocean- is the largest body of water, and its water is salty

·        Plain- is land that is mostly flat

·        River- is a long body of water that flows through land

Be able to name three kinds of land.

Review map skills on pgs. 90-91

Our Treasured Resources

·        A resource is something people use to meet their needs.

·        Trees, soil, water, oil, and gas are resources.

·        Water is a very important resource.

·        Most drinking water comes from lakes and rivers.
